What Are Dental Implants?

Even with significant advances in dental care, millions of Americans need one or more teeth replaced during their lives. At ProSmile Dental Implant Center, we use only the top brand of dental implants, including Nobel & Neo Dent. We craft all our crowns in-house, using porcelain, the strongest and most natural-looking material for replacement teeth.

  • Screw: Placed into your jaw, and made of titanium, it acts as a replacement for your missing tooths root
  • Abutment: A piece that sits underneath your gums and connects the screw to your crown
  • Crown: A strong & durable porcelain crown made to match your natural teeth at our in-house lab

Types of Dental Implants

Single dental implants

If you only need a single tooth replacement or have a few teeth to replace, your dentist may suggest single dental implants. With single dental implants, each crown will have its own implant.

multiple dental implants

Do you have multiple missing or damaged teeth? We offer several different options when it comes to replacing multiple teeth at once that allows you to minimize the number of implants we need to place.

Dental Implant Bridge

A dental implant bridge allows you to replace multiple teeth at once if there are several teeth in a row missing. Your artificial teeth will be supported by adjacent teeth tractions.

Are You A Candidate For Dental Implants?

Dental implants are generally safe for most people and are ideal for anyone with missing teeth, a failed root canal, or trauma to an existing tooth. In most cases, if you are healthy enough for tooth extractions, you can have dental implant surgery. However, certain conditions like uncontrolled diabetes or heavy smoking can impact your ability to have successful dental implant surgery. At your free dental implant consultation, our team of experts will review your medical history to determine if they are the right choice for you.

How Dental Implant Surgery Works

number 1

free consultation

Our process begins with a free consultation. During our consultation, our specialized dental implant team will perform a state-of-the-art 3-D CAT scan and schedule your procedure.

number 2

prepping for your implant

Dental implant surgery is a multi-step process. We’ll start by numbing the area and extracting your existing tooth or teeth if needed. We often recommend bone grafting when you do tooth extractions to provide more stability for your implant. We offer nitrous oxide and IV sedation, depending on your procedure and preference.

number 3

the procedure

After your jaw is prepped, we will insert the implants. For patients who are missing a single tooth and have good bone structure, this may only take 10-15 minutes. However, full mouth replacements can take up to four hours. We offer several different sedation types depending on the length of your surgery.

number 3

delivery of final crown

Once your implant heals, typically after two to four months, we can place your final crown. This is a quick procedure with minimal downtime. After your crown is placed, you’ll be able to care for it just like all your other teeth. Contact us today to get started.

My whole expierence has been life changing. It was smooth, it was streamlined, I had no worries. The quality of life and eating is so much better and the ability to just talk to people and not be self concious is great.  For anyone who is scared to go to the dentist, don't be. Frequently Asked Questions

How much do single dental implants cost?

At ProSmile, we offer an affordable flat rate of $3,500 for a single dental implant. This includes a high-quality titanium implant and porcelain crown placed by our in-house board-certified oral surgeon. Sedation, tooth extraction, and bone grafting come with an additional fee.

Are implants painful after they have been placed?

After your procedure, you may notice some discomfort and swelling. The amount of swelling you will feel will depend on the complexity of your procedure and the number of implants we place. However, it will typically subside in a few days. After they heal, your dental implants will look and feel much like your natural teeth.

Are there any financing options?

We accept all third-party financing to help pay for your implants. We also accept in-network HMO & PPO plans and will submit your bill to your insurance company on your behalf.

What should I do next?

If you are missing one or more teeth, the best thing to do is contact a board-certified oral surgeon to ensure a successful treatment. That is the best way to prevent further damage and ensure a healthy smile.

Why is it a bad idea to wait to replace your tooth?

If you have a missing or severely damaged tooth, it is best to contact us right away. 60% of bone loss from a missing tooth occurs in the first year and can put your entire mouth at risk of further complications.
